Jaafar Taib

Jaafar Taib was born in Alor Gajah, Melaka, on July 28th, 1952. He embarked on a career in painting over 25 years ago as an illustrator, and today he has firmly established a reputable presence in the publishing world. He has not only succeeded as a cartoonist and illustrator but has also made a name for himself as a respected entrepreneur. He successfully founded and led Creative Enterprise Sdn Bhd, a publishing company that brings together talented and skilled artists and art practitioners in the country.
Jaafar Taib’s innate artistic talent shines through various aspects of painting, including depictions of human and animal figures, often blending cultural elements into his works. However, in recent years, he has focused more on his collection of paintings titled “Birds Of Malaysia,” which currently comprises over 120 species of birds.
His artistic creations have garnered attention from various levels and segments of society and have been recognized through exhibitions held in diverse settings, from the heart of the forest to palace galleries. A significant portion of Jaafar Taib’s work has been acquired and collected by local and international private and corporate entities.
